Materials Required
Bernat Satin 50g balls (or any equivalent KW weight yarn that will give the specified stitch gauge). Mauve x 6, Pink x 4, Gray-green x 4 and White x 10.
1 5mm (H or 8) hook or any size hook that will give the specified stitch gauge.
1 Tapestry needle.

OCTAGON:
Make 24. Using Color A, ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3, 3 dc in ring, remove hook from loop, insert hook in 3rd st of ch 3 and draw loop through, ch 3, * 4 dc in ring, remove hook from loop, insert hook in first dc and draw loop through, ch 1 (bobble made), ch 2, repeat from * twice more, join - 4 bobbles and 4 ch 3 spaces.
Round 2: * In next ch 3 space work 1 sc, 4 dc, 1 sc (petal), repeat from * 3 times more, join. Fasten off.
Round 3: With right side facing you, join Color B in first sc, holding petals forward, * ch 3, sl st in center of ch at base of next petal on Round 2, ch 3, sl st between petals on Round 2, repeat from *, ending ch 3, sl st in center of ch at base of next petal, ch 3, join - 8 ch 3 spaces. Fasten off.
Round 4: With wrong side facing you, join Color B in any ch 3 loop and work 1 sc, 5dc, 1 sc in same ch 3 loop, * 1 sc, 5dc, 1 sc in next ch 3 loop, repeat from * around, join - 8 Color B petals. Fasten off.
Round 5: With right side facing you, holding petals forward, join Color C in any sl st of Round 3, * ch 7, 1 sc in 2nd st from hook, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, 1 sl st in next sl st of Round 3, repeat from * 7 times more, join - 8 leaves.
Round 6: Turn, * 5 sc on side of next leaf, 3 sc in point of leaf, 5 sc on other side of same leaf, repeat from * 7 times more, join. Fasten off.
Round 8: * 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts, 1 dc in each of next 3 sts, 1 hdc in each of next 2 sts, repeat from * around, join.
Round 9: Sl st to center sc, ch 4, turn, 1 tr, ch 1, 2 tr in same st, * skip next st, 1 tr in next st, skip next st, 1 bobble in each of next 3 sts, skip next st, 1 tr in next st, skip next st, 2 tr, ch 1, 2 tr in next st, repeat from * around, ending last repeat 1 bobble in each of next 3 sts, skip next st, 1 tr in next st, skip last st, join. Fasten off.
Round 10: With right side facing you, join Color A in any st, ch 3, 1 dc in each st and 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in each corner space, join. Fasten off.

SQUARE: Make 15. Using Color A, ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.
Round 1: Work in same manner as Round 1 of Octagon. Fasten Off.
Round 2: With right side facing you, join Color C in any ch 3 sp, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next space, repeat from * twice more, join. Fasten off.
Round 3: With right side facing you, join Color D in any corner space, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc in next space, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in corner space, repeat from *, ending 3 dc in next space, join. Fasten off.
Round 4: With right side facing you, join Color A in any corner space, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, 1 dc in each dc and 3 dc , ch 2, 3 dc in each corner space, join. Fasten off.
Round 5: With right side facing you, join Color B in any corner space, ch 1, 1 sc in each st and 3 sc in each corner space, join. Fasten off.

EDGING
Round 1: With right side facing you, join Color B in first corner st of any corner octagon, ch 3, 2 dc in same st, *1 dc in each st to corner, 3 dc in corner st *, repeat between *'s twice more, ** 1 dc in each st to 2 sts before next corner st (joining), yo and draw up a loop in each of next 5 sts, yo and pull through all 10 loops on hook (4 sts dec), repeat between *'s twice, repeat from ** to corner octagon, dec 4 sts, repeat between *'s 4 times, repeat from ** around.
